The Academic Orchestra of National Instruments named after Tattimbet

In 1988 there was a significant event in the life of the region: the orchestra of the Kazakh National Instruments, which consisted of 25 people and was directed by the main conductor Duisen Ukibai, was created. In two years the orchestra was named after the great national composer Tattimbet, the founder of the direction of shertpe-kyui. 
In 1991-1994 the main conductor of the orchestra was K.Saizhanov, who made a great contribution towards the rising of the creative level and mastery of the orchestra.   
The parting words to the collective were given by the National Artist of the USSR, the laureate of the State Premium, Professor Shamgon Sagaddinovich Kazhgaliev. In 1992 he was invited to conduct the orchestra. He used his semi-centennial experience of musical creativity to work with the orchestra, raising the professional culture and mastery of the musicians. The maestro arrived with the working program including folklore materials of the region, the repertoire from the works of Kazakh and foreign composers. Thus, the concert variant of operas “Abai” and “Kyz Zhibek” to the accompaniment of the orchestra of the Kazakh national instruments was presented on the stage. 
Teamwork with the master of the music world promoted the creative development of conductors D.Ukibai and A.Shokanbaev. In 2001 the main conductor of the orchestra D.Ukibai became the laureate of the First Republican Competition of the Conductors named after S.Kazhgaliev. In 2006 he was awarded the rank of Honored Worker of Kazakhstan. 
Owing to the indefatigable work of the musicians of a high professional level such as the Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, the laureate of Republican Competition named after Kurmangazy G.Boltaeva, the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, the laureate of Republican Competition named after Kurmangazy B.Tashimov, the laureates of Republican Competition named after Kurmangazy B.Smagulov, К.Gаbdеlоv, М.Ibrаеvа and E.Ospankhanov, B.Kasymova, S.Rahimgalieva, S.Iztileuov and others, the orchestra became one of the best musical collectives of our Republic and has been awarded the honorary title "Academic". 
In their tours the orchestra has visited the USA, France, Switzerland, Sweden, Czechia and Slovakia, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Russia, South Korea. 
The main conductor and the art director of the orchestra is Yerlan Baktygerei.
